Hi.

Featuring ethical makers

The Ethical Jewellery Blog (EJB) exists to help better inform customers about the world of ethical jewellery and to introduce them to brands, products, makers and designers who use ethically sourced materials and processes.

If this sounds like you and you’d like to be featured on our website then drop us a line.  As a new blog, we’re building our audience and our content so we’re offering to create content and link to your website or blog, for free!

What we’d ideally like to do is visit you, photograph your work and your workshop and talk to you about it, then we’d do a write-up and link to your blog and website.

What is The Ethical jewellery blog?

The plan is to make our site a trusted source of information for customers and to help relevant brands, makers and designers to grow their business.  In the future, we will be offering a range of (paid for) creative, media and SEO services.

A big part of our mission is to help the public to navigate how the various ethical claims made by brands stack up.  Greenwashing is a thing and the notoriously opaque gemstones and metals trade are sadly a minefield for misinformation.  Lazy retailers and opportunistic content creators also help to add to a confusing mix for consumers.

Therefore we’ll be adhering to strict, yet accessible, consistent and transparent, conditions for what we consider to the ‘ethical’.  In practice, this means being selective about collaborations and paid-for content we produce as well as keeping our audience constantly informed about how we define the term ‘ethical’.
